Hailing from Kalamazoo, MI, today’s emerging artist goes by the name of Revel.
Revel is strictly a DJ, and plays a combination of Hip Hop, Electronica, and Dubstep. All these styles blend well together. Some songs may employ a hip hop style while others are more dubstep. Some songs are skippable, but most are a joy to listen to. These songs have a cinematic quality that takes the listener through some highs and lows. He also seems to have an array of styles, which suits whatever he’s feeling at the time. My favorite songs are: Interior, Death and Life, Beat Collage, and Riot.
